Typecast 1.4 (release)
The Input Field Augmentation Library
Tester Feedback
One thing I noticed was my Firefox auto-complete is popping up and obscuring your autocomplete.
Patrick FitzgeraldOne thing that would be nice would be some sort of look-up functionality. For example, you could enter a zip code and it would populate a city and state field or possibly enter a sku number and return product info.
--Ian MuirWhen only 1 result in resultset, enter should assign it to the field
--Simon Bouchard<tab> is very consistent, I wouldn't change it. Using it to accept the selection culd create a conflict: Navigating the fields with tab could force/change the selection
--Andrew StevensonI would almost make <enter> accept the selected item, maybe tabbing to the next field at the same time. "Accept and move on" <enter> is not a consistent behavior in browsers/sites, so you can change what it does.
--Andrew Stevensonthe list should not appear right away... only if you type something or if you press "down"
--Mathieu Sylvainit should not-auto assign when there is a single result: if I made a typo I should be able to just change my typo, not need to remove whatever was selected. its a bit off a toss up between easy selection and non-reinforcement of errors
--Andrew Stevenson
